We convinced C to give us a treat with her prize money and she finally agreed to part with $50. CK went to the market and bought 6 Sri Lankan crabs for $44. The crabs were pretty fierce as CK struggled to kill them. He was quite wary of handling the live crabs, remembering the freak accident a year ago when a grandfather died after being pierced by a crab which had some sort of deadly poison. I had the easier task of cleaning the crabs and cooking my signature black pepper crabs. The sauce is loaded with onions, garlic, pepper and a good dose of caramelized sugar, resulting in a lip smacking gooey mess. Absolutely delicious and for a fraction of the price of those served at the seafood restautants.
