Wawa's Ramblings

Above is Ji's medal for finishing the 10km run in Sunday's Standard Chartered Marathon. It was the long awaited run that almost didn't happen. Ji had been training hard for the last 3 months but was suddenly hit with the flu bug and was on medical leave on Wednesday and it was a battle to get well in time. We had it all planned out. Booked a room at Swissotel the Stamford (quite a number of participants had the same idea) so that we need not wake up extra early to make the journey down. Ji would be so dissappointed if the run had to be skipped because of a dumb bug. That morning, Ji was feeling okay but decided to take it slow. I guessed adrenaline must have taken over during the run 'cos Ji finished in good time, in fact in the top 20% . Well done Ji!!!
