Potato chips and dip
Saturday, August 4, 2007
Had drinks at Wine Garage to de-stress after having to work today on a Saturday. Had a glass of Verdejo ($15) and Sauvignon Blanc ($10).Ordered the pork belly skewer ($9); the pork belly was nice and crisp and went well with the sweetness of the watermelon, even though it was an unusual combination. The home-made potato chips ($9), which came in wafer thin slices, was addictive and we almost finished the whole lot between the two of us. As usual, service was excellent and one of the wait staff, Sugu, recommended the cappucino instead of our normal brew coffee. The cappucino was good and what we always enjoy above all in this restaurant is the fantastic hospitality of Travis and his staff.
