Dinner and Fireworks
We ordered the Haru's special roll ($18), comprising of a prawn filled sushi, topped with a piece of eel. This was a good choice as the sweetness of the prawn went well with the grilled eel. This was the first time Co had tasted eel and said it was actually quite nice.
The soft shell crab roll ($13) was also delicious and unlike some of the sushi we have tried elsewhere, Haru's soft shell crab was still crispy inside. The rolls were quite large and was very filling. Great value for money.
We had the Dashimaki Tamago ($6), one of Co's favourtie, and even for a simple dish like this, it was very well presented. The omelette was still warm when served.
Our final dish was the Ishiyaki steak ($35 for 150g of tenderloin) on hot stone.

We dipped the beef in the special oil provided and cooked it on the hot stone. The beef was very tender, with a melt in the mouth consistency.
We finished our most scrumptious dinner just about half an hour before the fireworks started. Diners from inside the restaurant were allowed to stand in the al fresco area behind the tables. We thought this was a really good arrangement by the management as it did not disrupt the diners in the al fresco area.
The fireworks by the Spanish team was spectacular and lasted for more than 10 minutes. This beats booking a room at any of the Marina hotels, which were charging close to $500 for a room. A fantastic ending to a great meal at Haru. Service was attentive and we definitely recommend this restaurant for the ambience and quality of the food.
